JAMSHORO: Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences distributed 400 laptops to students under the Prime Minister’s National Laptop Programme at a ceremony held in Latif Hall on the main campus.

Vice-Chancellor Ikramuddin Ujjan attended as chief guest and personally handed over the devices. He said the initiative aimed to promote digital education, facilitate online learning, and equip students with tools for research and access to international academic resources.
Prof Ujjan urged students to use the laptops responsibly for research, innovation, and constructive academic work, saying the devices would enhance their academic performance and broaden learning opportunities.

Students from MBBS, BDS, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, nursing, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), BS Radiologic Technology, pharmacy, medical biology, COT, Bilawal Medical College, and EMBE received laptops under the scheme.
Faculty members, deans, directors, and a large number of students attended the ceremony. Recipients thanked the government and university administration and pledged to work diligently in their studies.
