DADU: An investigation has uncovered 85 “ghost” employees in the Dadu Education Department, raising serious concerns about transparency and administrative oversight. The report, covering the 2024‑25 academic year, identified staff including lab assistants, security guards, naib qasids, and other non-teaching personnel for whom no record of actual service exists.
In response, District Officer (Secondary) Farha Naz Channa has issued showcause notices to all the ghost employees, requiring them to submit explanations by December 29. Sources indicated that the discovery has prompted immediate investigations aimed at holding responsible individuals accountable and improving overall departmental performance.
The presence of such a significant number of ghost employees over the past two years underscores ongoing challenges in oversight and administrative accountability within the education department, with authorities warning that swift remedial action is necessary to restore trust and efficiency in the system.
