SUKKUR: In a media briefing held at Old Jilani House, PML-N Central Senior Vice President for Sindh, Syed Shah Mohammad Shah, and Syed Shahzad Shah Jilani commended former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif for his decisive actions against crime and unrest in Karachi. They highlighted Sharif’s historical efforts to combat targeted killings, extortion, and other criminal activities in Sindh.
The PML-N leaders expressed alarm over the rising banditry and kidnapping culture in Sindh, attributing these issues to the failures of the current administration. They were particularly critical of Imran Khan, accusing him of exacerbating economic turmoil and inflation. Shah Mohammad Shah emphasized that Pakistani courts have the constitutional authority to allocate specific seats to PTI in the federal government, reinforcing the legitimacy of their role.

The leaders also discussed their economic plans aimed at alleviating inflation and providing relief to the populace. Shah Mohammad Shah highlighted PML-N’s growing influence in Khairpur district, attributing this development to Syed Shahzad Ali Shah, son of the late Syed Pervez Ali Shah Jilani, who has been instrumental in strengthening the party’s position in the region.
Shah pointed to the significant turnout at the Muslim League Workers’ Convention in Khairpur as evidence of PML-N’s expanding influence across Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) under Mian Nawaz Sharif’s leadership. Additionally, Shah Muhammad Shah noted Ishaq Dar’s previous comments advocating for a change in the governorship of Sindh, supporting Bashir Memon as a suitable candidate for the position.
