KARACHI: A peaceful protest took place today at 12:30 PM at Pakistan Public School, Khokhrapar, District Korangi, Karachi, to address the issue of land grabbers occupying the school premises. The demonstration was organized by the District Education Office, Korangi, and aimed to reclaim the school’s land and safeguard the right to education.

The protest saw a substantial turnout, including students, teachers, parents, local leaders, and senior officials, all united in their demand for the recovery of the school land from the encroachers. Participants carried placards and banners bearing slogans such as “Return Our School Land” and “Protect Education,” highlighting their commitment to preserving the institution’s integrity and ensuring access to education. Speakers at the protest underscored the urgency of the situation, calling on the government to take decisive action against those illegally occupying the school land. They stressed the importance of restoring the school to its original status to secure the future of the children who depend on it for their education.

District Education Officer Noor Ahmed Soomro addressed the media during the protest, stating, “This protest is a crucial step in protecting our children’s future. We urge the government to take this issue seriously and implement prompt measures to resolve it.” Soomro emphasized the necessity of government intervention to address the encroachment and restore the school land. The protest concluded successfully, with all participants presenting their demands peacefully and respectfully. The demonstrators pledged to persist in their efforts to bring attention to the issue until the land is returned and the school’s operations are restored to their full capacity.
