Syedaal Khan urges Parliamentary and institutional cooperation to fostering relations at the public level, thus promoting deeper economic collaboration

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have taken significant steps to strengthen their bilateral economic and trade relations, with discussions held on expanding cooperation across various sectors. The meeting took place at the residence of Deputy Chairman Senate, Syedaal Khan, where the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, was hosted on Sunday.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in a detailed discussion on issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and the overall situation in the region. They explored the potential for enhancing economic ties and multilateral cooperation, particularly in areas such as investment, energy, defence, agriculture, and natural resources.
Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan underscored the importance of the fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the urgent need to promote investment and trade between the two countries. He highlighted that removing existing obstacles is crucial for improving economic ties and achieving mutual prosperity. Syedaal Khan further stressed that Parliamentary and institutional cooperation could play a pivotal role in fostering relations at the public level, thus promoting deeper economic collaboration.
He also noted that frequent exchanges of business delegations could unlock significant trade and investment opportunities. The Deputy Chairman Senate pointed out that Pakistan, especially the province of Balochistan, is rich in mineral resources and has the potential to become an economic and trade hub in the region. He urged investors and businessmen from around the world to seize the investment opportunities available in Pakistan, which would not only benefit the country but also contribute to regional economic growth.
The discussions also highlighted the religious and cultural values that form the foundation of the relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. Both sides agreed on the importance of delegation exchanges to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation.
