ALGERIA: A remarkable achievement has been made by Muhammad Bashar, a ten-year-old prodigy from Swat, Pakistan, who secured the fourth position in the prestigious International Quran Recitation Competition “Mazamir Dawood” held in Algeria. The competition, organized by the private media channel “Echorouk” from August 18 to 31, saw participation from over 15 countries, showcasing the talents of young Quran reciters from across the globe.

Muhammad Bashar’s exceptional performance earned him a prize of $1,500, a significant recognition of his dedication and skill in the art of Quranic recitation. His achievement is a testament to the strong tradition of Quranic learning in Pakistan and the country’s commitment to nurturing young talent in this spiritual discipline. The “Mazamir Dawood” competition, held annually by Echorouk channel, is one of the most esteemed Quran recitation events globally.

It is noteworthy that alongside this competition, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments of Algeria also organizes the International Quran Recitation Competition under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Pakistan’s regular participation in these competitions not only highlights the country’s rich religious and cultural heritage but also strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and spiritual connection between Pakistan and Algeria. Muhammad Bashar’s accomplishment has brought pride to his homeland and serves as an inspiration to other young Quran reciters.
