MOSCOW: In the face of increasing reports regarding Iranian involvement in the Ukraine conflict, Russia has reiterated its position on Iran as a key ally, though it has been cautious in addressing the specific allegations. The European Union has raised alarms, citing “credible information” that Iran may have supplied short-range ballistic missiles to Russian forces engaged in the conflict in Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov underscored the significance of the Russia-Iran partnership, stating, “Iran is our important partner.” He emphasized the ongoing trade and economic collaboration between the two nations but did not delve into the details of the missile transfer claims.
