RAWALPINDI: In the early hours of October 4th, a fierce exchange of fire erupted between Pakistan’s Security Forces and a group of Khawarij militants in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan. The clash resulted in the elimination of six militants, marking a significant victory for the troops engaged in the ongoing battle against terrorism. Leading his men with unparalleled bravery, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shoukat, aged 43 and hailing from Faisalabad, fought valiantly at the forefront of the confrontation.
Tragically, he and five of his soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice during the intense firefight. The fallen heroes include Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah (31, District Khyber), Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman (30, District Lakki Marwat), Lance Naik Shahid Ullah (29, District Tank), Lance Naik Yusaf Ali (31, District Orakzai), and Sepoy Jameel Ahmed (26, District Swat). The engagement underscores the relentless resolve of Pakistan’s Security Forces to combat the persistent threat of terrorism. In the aftermath of the firefight, sanitization operations are being conducted in the area to eliminate any remaining elements of the Khawarij.
