KARACHI: Afaq Ahmed, Chairman of the Muhajir Qaumi Movement (Pakistan), has vehemently condemned threats directed at industrialists and traders by Sindhi nationalists via social media, labeling it a conspiracy aimed at destroying the national economy. He has reached out to the Chief of Army Staff, urging immediate attention to these threats and calling for enhanced security for the affected industrialists and traders.
In his letter to the Army Chief, Ahmed pointed out that industrialists are already struggling due to heavy taxation, deteriorating infrastructure, and the imposition of incompetent individuals in industries by PPP ministers from interior Sindh. He emphasized that these factors have severely hampered their competitiveness in the global market, and the recent threats have further exacerbated their insecurity.
Ahmed expressed concern that if these conditions persist, it could lead to industries relocating to more secure environments. He implored the Army Chief to take strict action against these threats and to ensure the safety of industrialists and traders, enabling them to operate their businesses without fear.
