SUKKUR: In a continuation of an extensive crackdown on organized crime, Shikarpur Police have reported the killing of a notorious dacoit, Bhalwar Teghani, in the Garhi Tegho Katcha area within the jurisdiction of Naparkot police station. This incident, as part of the ongoing targeted operation, marks a significant step towards weakening dacoit networks in the region.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shikarpur, Shahzeb Chachar, stated that Bhalwar Teghani, who was killed in the operation, carried a bounty of one million rupees on his head. Teghani, a nephew of another infamous dacoit Bhello Teghani, was a high-profile target. The operation itself has gained momentum, with nine dacoits, including five notorious criminals, eliminated within just eight hours, according to SSP Chachar.
This robust operation aims not only to eliminate criminal elements but also to secure the safe release of abducted individuals. SSP Chachar assured that the crackdown would continue relentlessly until all captives are freed and the region is cleansed of criminal networks, underscoring the commitment of Shikarpur law enforcement to restore peace and security in these areas.
