KARACHI: In a troubling incident, a case has been registered at the Darakshan police station in Karachi regarding the robbery of foreign nationals in the affluent Defence area. The incident occurred on October 27, where Polish citizens fell victim to the crime on Khayaban-e-Mujahid.
According to the complainant, Sanaullah, he observed foreign nationals being pursued by a silver-colored vehicle, with one individual clinging precariously to the car’s door. The assailant inside the vehicle reportedly kicked the dangling victim, causing him to fall, before making a hasty escape. Sanaullah promptly alerted the police by calling 15.
Sanaullah recounted that the foreign nationals had arrived for shopping at a mall when they were approached by two individuals in security uniforms. The perpetrators conducted a search and fled with $1,085 in cash. Police officials confirmed that they have obtained several CCTV footage clips from the area as part of the ongoing investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this alarming incident. This robbery highlights ongoing concerns about safety and security for foreign visitors in Karachi, emphasizing the need for increased vigilance and protective measures in the city.
