Bill to increase SC judges presented in Senate

ISLAMABAD: After the National Assembly, a bill to increase the number of judges in the Supreme Court was also presented in the Senate session. The Federal Law Minister Nazir Tarar presented the bill to increase the number of judges in the Supreme Court, during which the opposition raised noise and tore copies of the bill. Senator Anush Rehman introduced the Governance and Operations Amendment Bill 2024 related to State-Owned Enterprises.

Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said that this bill is being presented today, send it to the relevant committee, on which the presiding officer handed over the bill to the relevant standing committee. Senator Saleem Mandiwala presented the National Institute of Health Reorganization Amendment Bill, this bill is being presented today, on which Prime Minister Nazir Tarar said that this bill is being presented today, and it can be sent to the relevant committee, the presiding officer referred the bill to the concerned standing committee.

Later, Senator Anusha Rehman also introduced the Abandoned Property Management Amendment Bill 2024, which was also referred to the relevant Standing Committee. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri presented the Factories Amendment Bill in the House, to which Azam Nazir Tarar replied that the concerned minister was not present and was not in a position to support the bill.
