DJIBOUTI: The Pakistan Navy’s ship, PNS-Zulfiqar, recently visited Djibouti as part of its regional maritime security patrol. This visit, which highlights the strengthening of bilateral ties between Pakistan and Djibouti, was welcomed by officials from the Djibouti Navy at the seaport. During the visit, the commanding officer of PNS-Zulfiqar engaged in professional discussions with the Djibouti Navy and Coast Guard commanders, emphasizing areas of mutual interest and cooperation.
One of the key highlights of the visit was the joint naval exercise conducted with the Djibouti Coast Guards. This exercise was aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of both nations’ naval forces while fostering greater collaboration and mutual understanding. The exercise underscored the importance of naval cooperation in ensuring regional maritime security.
The visit also had significant diplomatic implications, with local and Pakistani community members, as well as key figures from Djibouti’s civilian and military leadership, touring the ship. The participation of ambassadors and defense attachés further reflects the importance of this engagement in strengthening the diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Djibouti.
