Minister Lanjhar detailed the directives issued to Sindh’s law enforcement agencies, emphasizing the need for a state of heightened alert across all districts

KARACHI: Following a deadly explosion at Quetta Railway Station, authorities in Sindh have swiftly responded by reinforcing security measures across the province, aiming to prevent similar incidents from occurring. Sindh’s Minister of Interior, Ziaul Hassan Lanjhar, condemned the attack, extending heartfelt condolences to the families affected and pledging the province’s support to Balochistan. Expressing solidarity with Balochistan’s government, Lanjhar affirmed Sindh’s commitment to collaborative efforts to maintain regional security in the aftermath of the tragedy.

In an official statement, Minister Lanjhar detailed the directives issued to Sindh’s law enforcement agencies, emphasizing the need for a state of heightened alert across all districts. The Sindh Police have been instructed to enhance security protocols and intensify vigilance, particularly at key locations such as transportation hubs, public areas, and critical infrastructure. Lanjhar highlighted the necessity of bolstering intelligence operations, underscoring that heightened awareness and proactive measures are essential in identifying potential threats before they manifest.

The blast at Quetta Railway Station, which has tragically claimed at least 24 lives and injured around 40 others, has intensified the call for greater security measures throughout the country. According to SSP Operations Mohammad Baloch, the authorities are actively investigating the incident, working to uncover the origins of the attack and identify those responsible. Meanwhile, security forces in Quetta and beyond are mobilizing resources to prevent any escalation of violence, a grim reminder of the ongoing security challenges that continue to plague the region.

In Sindh, the repercussions of the Quetta blast have led to immediate actions, with authorities aiming to protect public safety through stringent security measures. Law enforcement agencies have begun closely monitoring suspicious activities and individuals, with enhanced patrols and checks in high-risk areas.
