SUKKUR: Gambat Police have arrested two suspects involved in a major robbery that saw 25 million rupees stolen from a shop belonging to Haji Sarfraz Memon. The robbery, which took place a few days ago in Gambat, prompted a swift investigation led by DSP Gambat Malheer Khan and SHO Gambat Zulfiqar Chachar.
Utilizing a human intelligence network, the police conducted multiple raids, ultimately apprehending the suspects identified as Nishan Jatoi and Naimat Khakhrani. The police also recovered two TT pistols, the weapons reportedly used during the robbery, and 1.3 million rupees in cash from their possession. Both suspects have confessed to their involvement in the robbery. The authorities are continuing their efforts to arrest additional members of the gang and recover the remaining stolen money and mobile phones.
Naimat Khakhrani, who is the leader of an inter-provincial criminal gang, is reportedly wanted in several other serious criminal cases. His arrest is a significant development in addressing the growing issue of organized crime in the region. SSP Khairpur, Touheed-ur-Rehman Memon, has commended DSP Gambat Malheer Khan and his team for their dedication and success in dismantling the gang of looters. This arrest is seen as a positive step in curbing criminal activities in the area.
