SUKKUR: The Lincoln Corner Khairpur, in collaboration with IBA Community College Khairpur, hosted a vibrant Science Fair at the Sachal Sarmast Public Library, showcasing students’ innovative projects. Held on Tuesday, the event served as a platform to highlight creativity and technological advancements aimed at addressing pressing issues like climate change and sustainability.
Students from IBA Community College presented a range of scientific projects, including a Voiceless Car, Wind and Hydel Energy systems, Security Surveillance solutions, and Environment Protection initiatives. The projects emphasized pollution-free technologies and alternative energy sources, reflecting the urgent need for climate resilience and mitigation strategies in Pakistan. The students noted that their innovations aim to tackle the country’s climate challenges, offering sustainable solutions for a cleaner and greener future.
Prominent figures, including Mukhtiarkar Khairpur Waqar Ali Soomro, Assistant Commissioner Khairpur (UT) Ashwin Makheja, and social activist Qurban Ali Mangi, attended the fair. They commended the students for their innovative efforts and the focus on addressing critical environmental issues. Mariam Mangi, Coordinator of Lincoln Corner Khairpur, highlighted the role of Lincoln Corners in fostering education and creativity. She explained that Lincoln Corners, established by the USA in various universities, public libraries, and cultural centers across Pakistan, serve as dynamic multimedia learning spaces.
These centers offer modern facilities, including free Wi-Fi and internet access, providing students with opportunities to engage in learning programs and open dialogues. The Science Fair not only showcased the ingenuity of young minds but also reinforced the importance of education and innovation in building a sustainable future. It reflected the potential of collaborative initiatives to inspire and empower youth in addressing global challenges.
