AHMEDABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited the Vantara Animal Rescue Centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which is owned by Anant Ambani, the son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The visit highlighted the growing focus on animal welfare and conservation in India, particularly within the framework of corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

During his visit, PM Modi praised the centre’s efforts in rescuing and rehabilitating animals, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in preserving biodiversity and ensuring the well-being of wildlife. The centre has garnered attention for its state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to the welfare of animals, both domestic and wild.

The Vantara Animal Rescue Centre, located in the heart of Gujarat’s wildlife-rich Jamnagar district, has become a notable destination for animal conservation. It serves as a sanctuary for injured, abandoned, and mistreated animals, offering them a chance for recovery and a safe environment. The centre is also known for its work in educating the public about animal rights, promoting ethical treatment, and fostering a sense of responsibility towards animals.

Anant Ambani, who has been actively involved in the management of the centre, welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit, noting the significance of government support in such initiatives. His efforts in promoting animal welfare through the rescue centre have garnered admiration, reflecting a broader trend among India’s business leaders to engage in philanthropy with a focus on social and environmental causes. PM Modi’s visit to the Vantara Animal Rescue Centre is seen as a symbolic gesture of support for animal conservation and a step towards encouraging more such partnerships between the government and private entities in addressing the country’s environmental and social challenges.
