NASA: NASA has launched its Crew-10 mission aboard a SpaceX spacecraft to retrieve two astronauts who have been stranded in space since June last year. According to international media reports, the mission aims to bring back 58-year-old Sunita Williams and 62-year-old Barry “Butch” Wilmore, who have been stuck aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for the past nine months due to a technical failure in the Boeing Starliner spacecraft.
The Crew-10 mission was launched at 4 AM (Pakistan time) and includes four astronauts: NASA’s Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Japan’s Takuya Onishi, and Russia’s Kirill Peskov. Their objective is to safely transport the stranded astronauts back to Earth.
Originally scheduled to launch on March 12 and return by March 19, the mission faced delays before finally lifting off. The two astronauts were initially sent to space for only an eight-day mission, but a critical malfunction in their Starliner spacecraft left them unable to return, extending their stay in orbit indefinitely.
