HOUSTON: Former federal minister and senator Babar Khan Ghauri has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffer Express in Balochistan, which claimed the lives of innocent Pakistanis. Speaking at an event in Houston, Ghauri said that overseas Pakistanis are deeply saddened by the tragic incident and stand united in denouncing the cowardly act, especially during the holy month.
“This ruthless attack has left the entire nation grieving. We fully support Pakistan’s armed forces in their fight against terrorism and demand a decisive operation to eliminate anti-state elements operating in Balochistan, including internationally designated militant organisations,” Ghauri said.
He pointed to India’s alleged role in supporting terrorism in Pakistan, referring to the case of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was arrested and confessed to orchestrating acts of sabotage in the country. “It is an undeniable fact that these terrorists are backed by India. Pakistan’s every inch is a red line, and not a single piece of Balochistan will be handed over to hostile forces,” he asserted.
Ghauri emphasised that the entire Pakistani nation, including those living abroad, stands in solidarity with the people of Balochistan and the families of the victims. The gathering saw a show of support for Pakistan’s security forces, with attendees expressing unity against terrorism.
The event was attended by Pakistan Association of Greater Houston’s Secretary General Syed Amir Zaidi, Friends of Karachi President Arif Azeem, Sugar Land City Council candidate Muzaffar Vehra, Karachi University Alumni President Faheem Akhund, as well as community members Syed Shehzad, Ameer Ali, and others.
