SUKKUR: Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur recently distributed Rs. 3.45 million in Indigenous Scholarships to 15 MS/MPhil and PhD scholars under the Sindh Higher Education Commission (HEC) Indigenous Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2024–25. The cheques were handed out during a ceremony hosted by the Students Financial Aid Office, with Vice Chancellor Meritorious Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk presiding over the event.
Each scholarship recipient was awarded Rs. 230,000 to support their academic research. Among the recipients were PhD scholars such as Miss Sindhoo Taj, Miss Summaya Naimat, Mr. Ali Bux Khuhro, and Shaista, as well as MS/MPhil scholars like Mr. Ali Akbar, Miss Shahida Raz, Farhatullah, Aaisha Areej, Ashfaque Ali Khoso, Mansoor Ali, Ghulam Mustafa, Abu Bakar Brohi, Khalida Begum, Muhammad Arslan, and Miss Farhat Kareem.
In his address, Dr. Khushk congratulated the scholars and emphasized their responsibility to produce research that would contribute to the development of society. He reminded the awardees that receiving the scholarship was a privilege and a call to action for conducting meaningful and impactful research.
