KARACHI: A delegation of eleven Indonesian companies carried out a market survey at Imtiaz Supermarket Zamzama, one of Pakistan’s largest retail chains, in a bid to explore consumer demand and potential opportunities for expanding Indonesian products in the local market.
The visit marked a concerted effort by Indonesian businesses to better understand shopping trends, preferences, and high-demand items among Pakistani consumers. Imtiaz Supermarket, which already stocks a range of Indonesian products, welcomed the delegation and facilitated the survey by providing detailed insights into customer behaviour and sales patterns.

The store manager personally guided the visiting companies, highlighting product categories that have performed well and identifying areas where new offerings could gain traction. Officials from the Indonesian delegation said the exercise was designed to gather practical market intelligence, enabling companies to tailor their products to meet local tastes and preferences more effectively.
By assessing factors such as pricing, packaging, and shelf placement, the survey aimed to create a roadmap for future collaborations between Indonesian suppliers and Pakistani retailers. Business analysts noted that such visits are increasingly important in the context of growing trade relations between Indonesia and Pakistan, as they help exporters understand market dynamics and identify strategies to enhance competitiveness.

The exercise also reflects a broader trend of cross-border commercial engagement, where producers actively seek direct interaction with retail partners to ensure their products align with consumer demand. For the delegation, the survey provided both a practical and strategic platform to strengthen commercial ties and explore sustainable business opportunities in Pakistan’s retail sector.
