LAHORE: Islamabad United’s Salman Ali Agha has said he ignores outside opinions and focuses entirely on his performance, aiming to contribute match-winning runs for his team. “I don’t listen to what people say, I focus on my game,” he told the media.
Agha credited United’s strong team environment for their consistent performance in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), stating, “The atmosphere in Islamabad United is excellent, and that’s a key reason behind our winning momentum.”
Acknowledging the pressure of each fixture, he added, “Every match is a new game. We try to play it accordingly. I respect people’s opinions, but I know exactly what I have to do on the ground.” He praised the team’s camaraderie, saying there is no divide between seniors and juniors. “It’s a very open environment—anyone can joke with anyone.”
On captaincy, Agha lauded Shadab Khan’s leadership, calling him “one of the best captains in the PSL” and expressing hope that United would continue their winning form under him. As for the upcoming matches in Lahore, he said the team would stick to its established game plan and continue playing the brand of cricket that has brought them success.
