DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Aghosh Alkhidmat has called on philanthropists and donors to support its welfare initiatives as construction of a new orphanage building nears completion. Chairman Zahid Mohibullah Advocate highlighted the role of media in raising awareness about social welfare and urged contributions to meet the residential, food, and solar energy needs of the facility.
Speaking at an Iftar dinner for local journalists at the current Aghosh Alkhidmat premises, Zahid Mohibullah said the new building, spread over 8 to 9 kanals near Gomal University, will increase the orphanage’s capacity from 50 to over 200 children. The institution plans to move to the new premises within the next two months.
Jamaat-e-Islami District Ameer Manzar Masood Khattak praised Aghosh Alkhidmat’s efforts in caring for orphaned children and noted that the new facility will accommodate orphans from Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Waziristan, Bhakkar, and surrounding areas. He added that children will receive religious and modern education, as well as sports facilities, to ensure their overall development.
