ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of Algeria in Islamabad commemorated the 70th anniversary of Algeria’s National Day, marking the historic liberation revolution of November 1, with a grand ceremony held at the Serena Hotel. The event was graced by Mrs. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Minister of Information Technology and Communication, as the chief guest, and attended by a diverse assembly of diplomats, representatives from international organizations, members of parliament, chambers of commerce and industry, as well as academic and cultural institutions.

In his address, Ambassador Brahim Romani underscored the enduring bonds of solidarity, coordination, and cooperation between Algeria and Pakistan. He emphasized Algeria’s strategic significance as a pivotal country in its region, noting its role as a gateway to Africa and its status as the continent’s third-largest economy. Romani’s remarks reflected a deep appreciation for the historical ties that unite the two nations, highlighting mutual interests and collaboration in various sectors.

Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja reciprocated these sentiments, acknowledging the strength of Algerian-Pakistani relations. She expressed optimism about the fruitful partnership opportunities available to both countries, reinforcing the idea that their historical connections could pave the way for enhanced cooperation in technology, trade, and other fields.

The event served not only as a celebration of Algeria’s national pride but also as a platform to strengthen diplomatic ties and explore avenues for collaboration between Algeria and Pakistan. The participation of dignitaries from various sectors showcased the multifaceted relationship and the shared commitment to fostering peace, development, and mutual prosperity.
