DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The district lawyers’ wing of the Awami National Party (ANP), Malgaray Wakeelan, expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of senior lawyer Abdul Majeed Lagari Advocate in a suicide bombing at a wedding ceremony.
The organization strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a heinous act of terrorism targeting innocent civilians. Abdul Rahim Bettani, General Secretary of Malgaray Wakeelan, and other members called for strict action against those responsible.
The blast claimed several lives, including Abdul Majeed Lagari, a prominent member of the District Bar Association. The lawyers’ wing urged law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of both legal professionals and the public and to bring the perpetrators to justice to prevent future incidents.
They also emphasised the need for sustained efforts to eradicate terrorism at its roots. The organization offered prayers for the departed, asking Allah to grant them a high place in Jannah, provide patience to the bereaved families, and speed the recovery of the injured.
