DADU: Lawlessness continues to plague Dadu as six armed men robbed a petrol station near B-Section Police Station in broad daylight, making off with Rs130,000 and a motorcycle. The incident occurred on Saturday, 27 December, coinciding with the death anniversary of former prime minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
According to the petrol pump owner, Abdul Rasheed Rodnani, the assailants held the watchman, Hassan Jamali, at gunpoint, tying his hands and feet before fleeing. Eyewitnesses reported that the robbers fired shots into the air, causing panic in the surrounding area.
Residents and traders expressed concern over the city’s deteriorating security, noting the conspicuous absence of police patrols despite political convoys from the Pakistan People’s Party moving through the district.
Rodnani has lodged a non-cognizable report with B-Section Police and appealed to SSP Dadu for immediate action. The incident highlights growing public frustration over ineffective policing and rising crime in the district.
