SUKKUR: Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur, hosted a vibrant event titled “Basant with Flowers” on 13 February 2026, marking the inauguration of the Aror History Wall and a display of students’ Mini Thesis Work. The event underscored the university’s commitment to sustainability, heritage preservation, and academic excellence.

The campus was transformed into a colorful celebration of spring, featuring elaborate floral arrangements and landscape artistry. The initiative reflects the university’s vision of developing a green campus, preserving the historical legacy of Aror, and promoting students’ creative and research work on a national platform.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand praised the horticulture team for their dedication to maintaining and enhancing the campus’s green environment. He emphasized the importance of extending such environmentally responsible initiatives beyond the university to inspire ecological awareness across Sukkur and highlighted the significance of connecting students’ academic projects to practical opportunities.
The ceremony’s chief guest, Syed Awais Qadir Shah, Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, congratulated the Vice-Chancellor and his team for their leadership and achievements. He lauded the university’s integration of environmental sustainability with academic innovation and noted that eco-friendly, heritage-focused initiatives contribute to combating climate change and strengthening cultural identity. He also commended the students’ Mini Thesis projects for their creativity and practical relevance.
Special recognition was given to the horticulture team for their exceptional contributions, and faculty members and students were praised for conceptualizing and developing the Aror History Wall, which artistically depicts the region’s historical richness. The event concluded with the distribution of souvenirs, cheques, and certificates to members of the horticulture team and participating students.
Distinguished guests included Lala Asad Pathan, Finance Secretary PFUJ; Dr. Arshad Mughul, Deputy Mayor Sukkur; Shabir Memon, Director Sweet Home Sukkur; Aamir Ghouri, CEO Icon Group of Companies; along with other notable dignitaries and prominent figures from Sukkur.
Through this multifaceted event, Aror University demonstrated its ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, cultural heritage preservation, and academic excellence, setting a path toward a sustainable and enlightened future.
