DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The volleyball team of Agricultural University Dera Ismail Khan made a remarkable return to the Inter-University Sports Championship after a seven-year gap, reaching the semi-finals with an impressive display of skill and determination.
Although the team did not advance to the final, their discipline, dedication and high standard of play received widespread appreciation. The achievement was credited to the special guidance and continuous encouragement of the Vice Chancellor of Agricultural University D.I. Khan, Professor Dr. Shakeeb Ullah, who has actively promoted sports activities across the university.
Following the match, team members and officials met with Vice Chancellor Dr. Shakeeb Ullah, who praised their outstanding performance. He expressed his pleasure at the players’ hard work and spirit, assuring them of continued support for sports initiatives in the future.
Director of Sports, Dr. Zabar Marwat, said it was an honour to lead and represent the university team in the championship and added that this success would not have been possible without the Vice Chancellor’s effective leadership and patronage.
Professor Dr. Shakeeb Ullah advised students to maintain discipline, work harder, and continue bringing pride to the university through sports. He also reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting sports and other positive activities to develop students’ all-round abilities.
