LAHORE: The Bangladesh cricket team’s scheduled tour to Pakistan appears to be in doubt, as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has yet to confirm whether it will send its players for the series starting on 21 May. According to sources close to the matter, the BCB remains indecisive over the tour, which was expected to feature several matches as part of a bilateral cricketing exchange.
Despite the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) offering multiple options to accommodate the tour, the BCB has not responded formally to any of the proposals. The uncertainty has raised serious concerns within cricketing circles in both countries. With just days to go before the scheduled arrival of the visiting side, no clear signal has emerged from Dhaka.
While officials in Pakistan have expressed readiness and flexibility, insiders say the delay in decision-making by the BCB is driven by internal deliberations and possibly logistical or security-related concerns, though nothing has been publicly confirmed. The PCB is said to be awaiting a final response, but time is running out for preparations and arrangements to proceed smoothly.
