BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian reaffirmed China’s unwavering support for Pakistan, emphasizing that efforts to undermine the deep-rooted trust and cooperation between the two nations would be futile. Speaking on Monday, Lin assured that China would continue its strong backing of Pakistan’s counterterrorism actions, highlighting that Beijing remains committed to “steadfastly protecting” Chinese nationals and institutions abroad.
Lin stressed the enduring nature of the China-Pakistan relationship, calling it an “evergreen strategic cooperative partnership.” He expressed confidence that any efforts to weaken the mutual trust and collaboration between the two countries would fail. “Any attempt to weaken our mutual trust and cooperation will not succeed,” Lin declared, reinforcing China’s commitment to safeguarding the bilateral ties that have long existed between the two nations.
