
RAWALPINDI: In an effort to strengthen diplomatic relations and address regional concerns, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir embarked on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), as announced by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.
During his visit, Gen Munir held discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman on a wide array of subjects, encompassing mutual interests, regional peace and security, as well as bilateral defence and security cooperation.
In addition to meeting with the Crown Prince, the army chief also engaged in talks with Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chief of General Staff (CGS) Saudi Armed Forces General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, and Assistant Minister of Defence Engineer Talal Abdullah Al Otaibi, among other senior military officials.
The ISPR reported that the Crown Prince underscored the longstanding and fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, emphasizing the steadfast support both nations have provided each other throughout the years.
Furthermore, bin Salman expressed a strong desire to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries, affirming KSA’s unwavering commitment to stand by Pakistan in the future. General Munir conveyed his gratitude to the leadership of Saudi Arabia for their continued support.
