    Commissioner DIK reviews public health projects

    DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A meeting to review ongoing projects of the Public Health Engineering Department was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Dera Division, Daud Khan, officials said.
    According to details, the meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer Public Health Engineering (PHE) Dera Engineer Junaid Hafeez, Assistant to Commissioner Political and Development Sajjad Baloch, along with other officers and representatives of the department.
    During the meeting, participants were given a detailed briefing on ongoing water supply and sewerage line projects in Dera Ismail Khan district.
    Superintending Engineer Junaid Hafeez informed the Commissioner that the Public Health Engineering Department was implementing various development projects aimed at ensuring the provision of clean drinking water across the district. He said that new water supply schemes, installation of pipelines and repair of old water lines were being carried out at a rapid pace in both urban and rural areas to facilitate the public.
    The meeting also discussed projects related to the improvement of the sewerage system. Engineer Junaid Hafeez said that the installation of new sewerage lines and the rehabilitation of blocked drains were being completed in phases to enhance the effectiveness of the drainage system, reduce environmental pollution and address civic issues.
    Commissioner Daud Khan expressed satisfaction over the progress of the ongoing projects and directed that all development work should be completed within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with quality standards. He stressed that no compromise would be tolerated on transparency and quality in public welfare projects.
    The Commissioner further instructed the concerned officers to strengthen field monitoring and ensure the timely redressal of public complaints. At the conclusion of the meeting, it was reaffirmed that efforts would continue to improve the water supply and sewerage systems in Dera Ismail Khan to provide better basic facilities to the public.
