KURRAM: The community in Central Kurram has issued an urgent appeal to the Red Crescent Society for donations of sewing machines and related equipment to operate a newly established vocational center aimed at skill development and empowerment. This center is strategically located in an area with a population of over fifty thousand and is designed to provide valuable vocational training, particularly for women and young adults seeking to improve their livelihoods.
However, a severe shortage of essential equipment has rendered the center inactive, obstructing its mission to equip residents with necessary skills. Local leaders have emphasized the potential impact of the center, stating that training programs could significantly enhance economic independence within the community. They are hopeful that with the support of the Red Crescent Society, the vocational center can soon initiate its programs, which could change many lives. The community is awaiting a positive response from Mr. Malik Habib Orakzai, the Chairman of the Red Crescent Society, as they strive for development and empowerment in Central Kurram.
