ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is set to face a period of hot and dry weather over the coming days, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting high temperatures and dry conditions for most regions. The Islamabad region, as well as Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are expected to experience persistently hot and dry weather.
In contrast, northern areas such as Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Laki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan may see light rain and thunderstorms. Balochistan is also predicted to remain predominantly hot and dry. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partly cloudy skies are anticipated, with isolated areas potentially experiencing light rain and thunderstorms.
In Karachi, weather conditions were humid with partly cloudy skies throughout the day. The PMD reported that while no significant rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours, light drizzle may occur in various parts of the city. The minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 26.5°C, with a maximum of 33°C forecasted. Sea breezes are expected at speeds of 10 to 20 km/h, but high humidity levels will make the temperature feel about 5°C warmer than the actual readings.
Residents of Karachi should prepare for intermittent drizzle, although heavy rainfall is unlikely in the immediate future.
