DADU: A court in Dadu has convicted a man in connection with the accidental death of a nine-year-old boy, imposing a fine of Rs9.8 million. The verdict was announced by the First Additional Sessions Judge, bringing to a close a case that had drawn significant attention in the district due to its tragic circumstances.
The court found Ahsan Khaskheli responsible for the death of Muhammad Qasim Umrani, who was reportedly killed after a firearm discharged by the accused. According to the judgment, the incident was accidental but the primary accused bore full responsibility for the consequences of his actions.
A co-accused, Ghulam Mustafa, was acquitted after the court determined there was insufficient evidence linking him to the incident. The ruling emphasized the distinction between the roles of the accused, noting that while the first individual was directly responsible, the second could not be held accountable under the law.
