DC Khairpur addresses conditions at school, health center

SUKKUR: Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Syed Ahmed Fawad Shah visited Government Girls Primary School and Health Center Hadal Shah. Expressing concern over the dilapidated condition of the school, he ordered the headmistress to vacate the school immediately. The Deputy Commissioner said that the Education Secretary will be contacted to arrange for the replacement of the school. He also visited the primary health center in Sadarji Bhatti, where he checked the availability of staff, doctors and medicines.

DC Khairpur also got information regarding the ongoing campaign to eliminate polio in Hadal Shah and Sadarji Bhattyoon, where children up to five years of age were checked for finger-marking and polio teams from the residents of the area. Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Syed Ahmed Fawad Shah reiterated upon teachers to improve the educational environment and eliminate polio, and if any deficiency is found in any place, Legal action will be taken against the officials and teachers.

Deputy Commissioner District Khairpur Syed Ahmed Fawad Shah’s emergency visit to primary health center and girls’ school on Tuesday. The deputy commissioner expressed his anger over the absence of doctors and employees in the primary health center. All the staff and teachers were absent except one teacher in Government Girls Primary School Arab Solangi. Deputy Commissioner Khairpur directed to issue show cause notices to the concerned doctors, teachers and employees. He has clarified that the absenteeism will not be tolerated however he said that any suggestion from the teachers to improve the educational environment will not be accepted.
