DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Dera Ismail Khan administration has been placed on high alert following heavy rains, with officials mobilised to manage potential emergencies, Commissioner Daoud Khan said.
He stated that all relevant departments, including Rescue 1122era building at Ratta Kulachi is underway. Recruitment for support staff at the Girls Cadet College Dera, including drivers, naib qasids, and operators, will be completed soon, while teaching staff will be selected through the ETEA test. Laboratory equipment tenders, valued at Rs60 million, are being processed through e-PAD.
Regarding admissions, the first-semester intake has been temporarily reduced from 90 to 30 students due to limited infrastructure, with 40% of seats reserved for candidates from Dera Division.
Highlighting healthcare recruitment, the Commissioner said online applications are open until April 8, 2026, for 153 medical officers, 53 dental surgeons, and 127 nurses on one-year contracts in small hospitals across Dera Division. The recruitment process is overseen by the office of the Additional Commissioner Dera.
