DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The District Police Officer (DPO) of Dera Ismail Khan, Ziauddin Ahmad, conducted an inspection of key interchanges along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to assess and enhance security amid the current national security environment.
He visited the Abdul Khel and Yarik interchanges, reviewing police posts and meeting officers deployed along the highway. He was accompanied by SP Paharpur Division Iqbal Khan Baloch, DSP Panyala Sardar Alamgir Khan, and SHO Yarik Attaullah Khan.
During the inspection, the SP briefed the DPO on the existing security arrangements and challenges faced in maintaining law and order along the corridor. Ziauddin Ahmad issued directives to bolster security measures, emphasizing stricter monitoring of entry and exit points, enhanced patrolling, and vigilance against suspicious activity.
He also instructed officers to remain on high alert, make full use of bulletproof jackets and other protective equipment, and ensure all personnel maintain readiness to respond to potential threats.
