DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The district police officer of Dera Ismail Khan, Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, met a delegation from the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) to discuss the security situation and protection arrangements for ongoing UN-supported projects in the district.

According to officials, the meeting focused on reviewing security measures for various development initiatives being implemented with United Nations support. The DPO gave a detailed briefing on the progress of these projects and outlined the steps being taken to ensure their safety.
Speaking during the meeting, Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada said the security of UN-backed projects remained one of the top priorities for the district police. He said the force was working round the clock to protect the lives and property of citizens and to maintain peace and stability through professional commitment and effective policing.
The UNDSS delegation appreciated the professional performance of the Dera police and expressed full confidence in their efforts to maintain law and order. The delegation praised the courage, dedication and services of police personnel, acknowledging their key role in ensuring the security of ongoing UN initiatives.
At the end of the meeting, the DPO presented a commemorative shield to the UN delegation as a gesture of goodwill.
