KARACHI: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Traffic Karachi Pir Muhammad Shah conveyed a special message on the occasion of Sindh Culture Day, underlining the province’s rich heritage and its enduring message of love, peace, and brotherhood.
In his statement, the DIG said Sindh’s culture enjoys international recognition for its generosity, tolerance, and humanistic values. He added that the day serves as a reminder of the region’s long-standing tradition of promoting knowledge, literature, ethics, and high social standards.
Sindh Culture Day, he said, offers a valuable opportunity for young people to connect with their heritage and take pride in their regional identity. “The colors and traditions of Sindh should be celebrated each year with the same spirit of unity and enthusiasm,” the DIG remarked, highlighting the province’s historic legacy of respect, protection, and inclusivity for all its residents.
Traffic police officers and staff, he noted, participate in the celebrations with respect and zeal, taking pride in their connection to the land. The DIG emphasized that the purpose of cultural celebrations is not merely to showcase traditions but also to strengthen social harmony and shared identity.
Shah urged citizens to observe traffic rules during the festivities to maintain smooth flow on city streets, noting that safe travel, discipline, and adherence to law are also part of Sindh’s cultural values. Concluding his message, the DIG said: “Sindh’s culture is our identity; we will continue to keep this heritage alive and present it to the world with pride and beauty every year.”
