SHAHEED BENAZIRABAD: District Jail Shaheed Benazirabad will conduct a mock alarm drill on 28 December at noon, authorities announced. The exercise, directed by the Inspector General of Sindh Prisons and Correctional Services Karachi, aims to evaluate preparedness and response capabilities during emergency situations.
Jail Superintendent Ghulam Rasool Mashori said the drill will simulate scenarios such as prisoner unrest, riots, and other emergencies, including potential internal or external security threats. The exercise is intended to ensure that staff can respond effectively to safeguard inmates, personnel, and the facility.
