KARACHI: A vibrant exhibition titled “Together We Grow” was recently held at the Shan-e-Pakistan House in DHA, Karachi, showcasing a rich array of Pakistani products and handicrafts. Organized by Huma Nasar, the event was dedicated to promoting the work of Pakistani women, particularly in the fields of textiles, jewelry, and food, with the aim of expanding their reach into international markets.
The Chief Guest, Husnain Pardesi, CEO of HMR Waterfront, commended the efforts of the participating women, expressing admiration for Huma Nasar’s commitment to elevating Pakistani culture and empowering women through the Shan-e-Pakistan platform. He noted the importance of supporting startups, especially those run by underprivileged women, highlighting the social impact of such initiatives.
In her remarks to the media, Huma Nasar emphasized that her motivation for organizing the exhibition was purely rooted in women’s empowerment, devoid of any business interest. She articulated that the slogan “Together We Grow” encapsulates the collective responsibility of the business community, government, and society to collaborate with Shan-e-Pakistan in achieving this mission.
The exhibition was a feast for the senses, with stalls showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of Pakistan. Attendees enjoyed a lively atmosphere enhanced by live music, tarot card readings, and palmistry, alongside an array of food stalls that drew considerable interest from guests. A highlight of the event was the grand opening of the Delhi Gate, which was adorned in a traditional Mughal style, where Chef Samra delighted guests with exquisite culinary offerings that showcased the diversity of Pakistani cuisine. Additionally, local artists entertained the audience with folk songs, creating a festive ambiance.
The event attracted a diverse array of notable guests, including Khalid Arain, influential in the Cable Operators Association of Pakistan, Irfan Memon, CEO of H Media, and actor Sajid Hassan, among others. Each expressed their support for the event’s theme and commitment to fostering growth and collaboration within the community. The ceremony was hosted by Hira Haleem, adding to the event’s charm and success. “Together We Grow” served not only as a platform for showcasing talented Pakistani women but also as a celebration of culture, community, and the shared goal of empowerment and progress.
