LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for establishing the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). Expressing her thoughts, CM Maryam commended the services rendered by the CTD officials. “I would like to pay homage to the CTD officials. The CTD officials are unsung heroes,” she added.

She said, “The extremism and bloodshed under the name of Islam are condemnable.” There is a dire need to maintain law and order to achieve economic development in the country. Maryam said, “Our commitment to fight against terrorism is unwavering.” Few days back, CM Maryam vowed zero tolerance for the hoarders. Addressing the press conference at the CM House in Lahore, CM Maryam said: “The Punjab government has no way of price controlling. There is a need for a system for price control.”

“I have given clear instructions to bring improvements to the mechanism of price control. Relief during the month of Ramazan is given around the globe. Unfortunately, in our country, the prices are exorbitant, ”she added. She made it clear that creating employment opportunities is part of the agenda. “We will not let anybody spread unrest under the guise of politics. No leniency will be shown towards such people,” CM Maryam said.
