FAISALABAD: In line with the directives of Suhail Akhtar Sukhera, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad, a comprehensive security plan has been finalized for the holy month of Ramazan across the Faisalabad region. The plan will see more than 2,000 police officers and personnel deployed across the city.
A total of 1,487 officers have been assigned to 1,331 mosques, while 191 personnel will provide security at 101 imambargahs. For public convenience, arrangements have also been made at six Ramadan Sahulat Bazaars, where 45 officers will be on duty. Another 272 personnel will oversee 109 Ramadan Dastarkhwans set up across the region.
A detailed traffic management plan has been issued to ensure smooth movement during the month. Authorities will focus on busy bazaars, markets, and shopping centers, where public activity rises sharply. The district police leadership has stressed vigilance against potential threats from miscreants and anti-state elements, putting in place robust measures to safeguard life and property.
Control rooms have been established to maintain law and order. Mosques, markets, and sensitive locations will be continuously monitored through Safe City surveillance cameras. Special duty rosters have been prepared for Sehri, Iftar, and night-time prayers, including Taraweeh and other voluntary observances. Dolphin Squad personnel and traffic wardens will be stationed at key intersections.
With increased shopping often leading to a rise in street crime, hotspot areas have been identified, and police patrols have been intensified to curb criminal activity. The Faisalabad police have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for citizens during the holy month.
