ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan(MQM-P), Dr Farooq Sattar, condemned the deadly attack at Jamia Mosque and Imam Bargah Khadija-tul-Kubra, describing it as a deliberate attempt to sabotage peace and social harmony in Pakistan.
Speaking to journalists at the Islamabad Press Club alongside pro-rights members of the National Assembly, Dr Sattar said the attack was not just a violent incident but a blatant declaration of war against humanity. “Taking the life of a single innocent person is equivalent to killing all of humanity,” he said, adding that using religion to mislead youth and spread fear, hatred, and sectarianism is part of a deep-rooted conspiracy.
Dr Sattar called on the government to expose the masterminds, facilitators, and networks behind the attack and to ensure that those responsible face strict justice. He emphasized that the state’s constitutional duty is to protect every citizen’s life, property, and honor, insisting on full implementation of the National Action Plan, strengthening intelligence systems, and immediate establishment of community policing.
He further claimed that the attack was linked to Indian sabotage, alleging that the Modi government, after facing defeat in the “battle for truth,” seeks to undermine Pakistan’s peace and stability.
Paying tribute to martyr Aun Abbas, Dr Sattar said his sacrifice saved hundreds of worshippers’ lives and marked a luminous chapter in the nation’s conscience. He added that the people of Pakistan remain united, alert, and determined against terrorism.
