HYDERABAD: The divisional commissioner of Hyderabad, Fayaz Hussain Abbasi, visited several ongoing development projects in Sehwan Sharif and Bhan Syedabad, as part of efforts to accelerate public infrastructure schemes in the district.
The visit was carried out on the directives of the Sindh chief minister, Murad Ali Shah. Abbasi was accompanied by the deputy commissioner of Jamshoro, Ghazanfar Ali Qadri, along with other relevant officials from district departments.
During the inspection, the commissioner reviewed the progress of a road construction project stretching from Jahaz Chowk to the shrine of Bodla Bahar Shrine. The project involves the construction of a double carriageway aimed at improving traffic flow and easing access to the historic shrine and surrounding areas.
Officials briefed the commissioner on the current status of the work, outlining the pace of construction and the challenges faced during implementation. Abbasi stressed that the project should move forward without unnecessary delays, noting that improved road infrastructure would benefit both local residents and the large number of visitors who travel to Sehwan throughout the year.

He instructed the concerned authorities to accelerate the pace of construction while ensuring that quality standards were strictly maintained. No compromise should be made on materials or workmanship, he said, adding that development projects must deliver long-term value for the public.
The commissioner also directed officials to maintain close supervision of the project so that it could be completed within the stipulated timeframe and serve as a reliable transport link for the region.
