DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Appointment orders were distributed among successful female candidates selected under the Primary Teacher Certificate (PTC) hiring programme for the Dera and Paharpur subdivisions at a ceremony held at the Government Girls Primary School, Karamat Abad, Shorkot Circle, in Dera Ismail Khan.

Mrs Ali Amin Khan Gandapur attended the event as chief guest and personally handed over appointment letters to candidates selected on merit. A total of 41 candidates from the Female Subdivision Dera and 28 from the Female Subdivision Paharpur received their appointment orders during the ceremony.

District Education Officer (Female) Dera, Syeda Anjum, Sub-Divisional Education Officer (Female) Dera Sonia Nawaz, Sub-Divisional Education Officer (Female) Paharpur Samina Shehnaz, along with assistant sub-divisional education officers, were also present on the occasion.

The recruitment process was completed through the efforts of DEO Syeda Anjum, SDEO Sonia Nawaz and SDEO Samina Shehnaz, whose services were acknowledged by participants, who paid tribute to their commitment to ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs Gandapur said the objective of the PTC hiring initiative was to strengthen the education system by inducting capable and qualified teachers into schools. She said merit-based recruitment was a symbol of transparency and played an important role in building trust among young people.

She congratulated the newly appointed teachers and urged them to carry out their responsibilities with honesty, dedication and a strong sense of duty, and to contribute actively to improving the quality of education and the character development of students.

At the end of the ceremony, guests extended best wishes to the selected candidates for their future. The initiative of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and district education authorities was widely appreciated, with speakers noting that merit-based hiring was creating respectable employment opportunities for young professionals.
