LAHORE: In a significant step towards sustainable transportation, Malik Group of Companies, in collaboration with the Chinese company ADM Group, has inaugurated Pakistan’s first Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station in Lahore. The ceremony took place on Zarar Shaheed Road in Lahore, with the Provincial Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Religious Affairs, Choudhry Shafay Hussain, officiating the opening.
The event was also attended by the Chairman of Malik Group, Malik Khuda Bakhsh, and the CEO of ADM Group, Yasir Bhambani. Choudhry Shafay Hussain, during his speech, emphasized the critical importance of the electric vehicle sector due to global warming. He stated, “The world is moving towards the EV sector, and Pakistan’s future is closely tied to this sector.” He highlighted the need for Pakistan to embrace this technology to ensure a sustainable future.
Malik Khuda Bakhsh, the partner of the Chinese group in Pakistan, also addressed the ceremony, announcing that 30 additional charging plants would be arriving from China within the next ten days. These stations will be installed across various locations in the country.
