SHAHEED BENAZIRABAD: The annual three-day Flower Exhibition, Scientific and Cultural Art Festival at H.M. Khoja Garden concluded with a musical performance and prize distribution ceremony, drawing large family audiences on the final day, officials said.
Organized by the District Administration Shaheed Benazirabad, the festival featured vibrant flower displays, cultural activities, and live musical performances. Institutions including Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology, Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, and the Forest Department showcased seasonal, decorative, and rare flower varieties.
Students, local organizations, and private-sector participants set up creative stalls displaying handicrafts and environmental awareness materials. Deputy Commissioner Abdul Samad Nizamani and Pakistan Peoples Party District President Muhammad Salim Zardari distributed awards, certificates, and shields to organizers, participants, and stallholders for their outstanding contributions.
They said such events foster civic engagement, cultural awareness, and constructive activities for young people. The final-day musical program, featuring Sufi and folk performances, was praised for its blend of melodious music and the fragrance of flowers, creating a culturally rich and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
Officials including Additional Deputy Commissioner Saddam Hussain Memon, Directors of Secondary and Primary Education, District Education Officers, and representatives from private schools also attended the closing ceremony. The District Administration pledged to continue organizing similar cultural and recreational events to engage citizens and promote a positive image of the city.
