KARACHI: In Karachi, particularly in its outskirts, residents are advised to brace themselves for foggy conditions on Friday and Saturday, as highlighted by a report from Metro Morning. This weather phenomenon is linked to warm and dry winds sweeping in from Balochistan, which are expected to create the perfect conditions for fog formation during the early morning hours. Such fog can lead to significantly reduced visibility, which poses challenges for commuters and those traveling to work or school.
However, the meteorological forecast suggests that this fog is likely to lift as the sun rises and temperatures increase, improving visibility later in the morning. The broader weather outlook for Karachi indicates a warm and humid atmosphere persisting throughout the weekend, with maximum temperatures projected to reach between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius. This heat, coupled with high humidity levels, is typical for Karachi during this time of year, making conditions feel even warmer for residents.
The heat is not confined to Karachi alone; other districts in Sindh province are also expected to experience similarly hot and dry weather, which may affect daily life, including outdoor activities and agricultural practices. Interestingly, the Meteorological Department clarified earlier this week that a heatwave is not expected during this period.
